About Our Preschool
At Freedom Christian Preschool, our mission is to partner with your family in laying a strong foundation of faith, character, and a love for learning in each child.
Our teachers create a Christ-centered environment where children are introduced to the truths of God’s Word. Here, they grow in confidence and develop the skills that prepare them for kindergarten.
Our Beliefs
Freedom Christian Preschool is a ministry of Freedom Baptist Church. The beliefs of our preschool align with the church’s beliefs.

We believe in one God, eternally present in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, and that it is our guide for how we live, love, and teach.
3.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again.
4.
We believe that it is by faith alone in Jesus Christ that one can have salvation and eternal life.
Health and Safety
Keeping children safe and healthy is one of our most important jobs. Our classrooms are cleaned every day, and we follow careful hygiene practices throughout the day.
Our teachers are trained in First Aid and CPR, and we regularly practice emergency drills so every child is safe and cared for.

Message
I’m Melissa Matheny, director of Freedom Christian Preschool and a mom of three. As both an educator and a mother, I understand the trust you place in the people who care for your children.
Our commitment is to partner with you so your child feels confident, secure, and truly valued here.
Qualifications
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education (K–8) and have taught in public schools, homeschooled my three children for five years, and led children’s ministries in church.
In 2016, my husband and I founded Freedom Christian Academy. And Freedom Christian Preschool grew out of that same mission to provide Christ-centered education in a loving, nurturing environment.
